Simona Sajeva is an Italian licensed professional Civil Engineer, specialized in History of Architecture, with a background in Cultural Heritage Conservation. Her areas of expertise include historic buildings, mural painting and architectural decoration conservation.
10+ years in the field of built heritage, wall paintings (frescoes) and architectural decorated surfaces conservation, design and execution, gave her the opportunity to gain a deep understanding and broad knowledge of the interdisciplinary approach.
The comprehensive approach to the conservation of architectural heritage and its artistic surfaces is her privileged theoretical and practical interest. Her original professional research explores the integration of different disciplines working on the same object: built heritage.
This experience is strongly supported by her educational activities. Contract lecturer at the restorers department of the Institut national du Patrimoine, the higher education institution governed by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, in Paris, since 2005, she also provides support to the Institut professional training programs carrying out training to create a broad and deeper vision of this subject. She holds seminars on topics in her areas of expertise for professional institutional experts upgrade.
She cooperates with international programs on cultural heritage protection as a consultant and coordinator.
